Custom Flow Paintings
|
Why settle for an existing painting to fit your decor, when you can create the painting to fit the decor?! Our custom flow paintings offer you the opportunity to do just that. The final outcome is somewhat of a surprise as the nature of flow paintings is that they constantly change as they dry, but we truly enjoy the process and know you will enjoy the outcome too. We create the painting using your specified colors, and chosen 'aggressiveness level', and a with the help of nature, (and Dash's methods) a unique masterpiece is manifested. The painting will fit absolutely perfect with your existing decor as it was created to do exactly that.
The process is simple, just pick your colors from the below, as well as your "aggressiveness level" and we can begin. Actually, we need you to pick out your canvas size as well, so you have to do that also. Now we can begin! Just as a reminder, we only use the highest quality acrylic paints in our works as well as 0 lb gallery wrapped canvas. Sure it costs us a bit more, but we wouldn't want anything less in our own home. You, our friends, are no exception. We want our works to bring lifetimes of joy and happiness in your home as well. |
STEP 1: Pick your colors
|
We recommend you keep your color choices to no more than 6 colors in total. Of course you can pick more, but the paintings tend to get a little busy with more than 6 color choices. The colors do blend together in areas to form blends of the chosen colors, so as you can imagine 10 or 12 different colors might come out as a little busy.
Our recommendation is to go off of the following: Pick 2 or 3 base colors -These are going to be the majority or the base of the painting. Black and white make a fantastic base for many projects as beautiful blends into grey are formed depending on the aggressiveness chosen. Pick up to 3 supporting colors - These will be the other colors of the painting that could be considered the "focal colors". That term is not technical, but basically these colors will be used less than the base colors in the painting. Depending on the base colors, these could be be main focus of the painting. Pick 1 or 2 accent colors - These colors will be used the least and will serve to accent the painting. These can be totally 'off the wall' colors to contrast the entire piece, or simply a more subtle accent. Pick an "aggressiveness level" - We dont know what to exactly call this, but it is basically a 'visually complex' gauge of the painting. A level 1 for example, will be a softer painting with more smoother flow and less mixing and color blending to it. A level 3 will have a lot more mixing, blending, swirling, and randomness to it. There will be more complexity to the piece. Obviously, we cannot show you a preview of what your painting will look like, so you will have to trust us a little bit with our creative freedom. If you have a particular color or colors you want more specifically than we have listed, please feel free to send us some color samples. Color swatches from a paint store are a good place to get specific color samples that are easily shipped in an envelope. If you find or see something online or in person you like, we will be more than happy to create our interpretation of it. We are easy going and will work with you to create what you want! We have also had people send us photos of the room where they were thinking of putting a painting and we created them a stunning piece for the wall in question! |

Step 4: Pick your top surface wood species
This is where the real beauty of the table is. We give you the opportunity to select the most unique and exotic woods to make your table a real statement piece. By using highly figured and unique woods, a natural work of art can be achieved. Nature is such an amazing thing, and we really enjoy showcasing its beauty. Species from around the world are utilized and a look from simple to extravagant can be achieved. Click on a species to learn more about it. *Please note that the images pictured are not of the exact piece of wood your table will be made with. After you make your selection, we will do our best to send you a photo of the actual pieces of wood being used along with the rendering of the table. |
Step 5: Pick your boarder
The boarder on the table really frames out and finishes the table. Pick from either a contrasting boarder or a more subtle complementary boarder. The contrasting boarder will be light or dark depending on the species chosen for the main top. A complementary boarder will be a similar color to the main table top.
Step 6: Pick your base color
Our table base is made from heavy duty 2 x 2 inch square steel box tubing to provide a sturdy yet refined look.
