Hello and welcome to Designs by Dash!
- We are a couple married for five years who enjoy creating our own furniture and works of art. If you haven’t figured it out, the name Dash is a combination of our two first names and is representative of our creative process- shaping designs together every step of the way. - We reside in Bayville, New Jersey where our home is our shop, studio and gallery. People thought we were insane when we took our newly constructed house and within minutes after carrying Ashley over the threshold, we ripped up the carpet to install custom hardwood floors. We have truly enjoyed transforming our house to make a one-of-a-kind home. Our English basement, once known as the 'dust bowl', was our workshop until we turned it into a wine & whiskey bar accented with a reclaimed brick wall. Our creative space has moved to the garage and although we now have to scrape snow off our cars in the winter, it helps minimize overhead to keep our designs as reasonably priced as possible for you. - Our designs are inspired by the world around us and love for natural materials with an unmatched attention to detail. Ashley brings an eye for design, love for giving old pieces new life, and a belief that power tools aren’t just for men. Dave’s mechanical engineering degree and high-end finish carpentry background combines to be a superb blend of skills. If you have an idea for something, no matter how unconventional, the problem-solver in Dave can make it a reality. If you are like us, and want one-of-a-kind piece that not everyone has, Designs by Dash is for you. - We believe that passion is what you do when no one is looking. Spending Saturday nights with a bottle (or two) of cabernet,and a sketch pad, blank canvas or raw piece of wood is our idea of a great time. We look forward to sharing our works with you.
